About me
Miss Choudhury is a Surrey based Consultant ENT Surgeon. She is available for consultation across three private hospital locations in Surrey, and offers appointments at various times through the day, for your convenience. She provides individualised care in all aspects of General ENT in adults and children, with subspecialist areas including Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery, Rhinology and Paediatric Coblation® surgery.
Miss Choudhury is committed to providing you with personalised and comprehensive care, to address your health issues. She will take the time to fully understand the problems that concern you, and provide a specific treatment plan that is tailored to you. She particularly aims to help you understand your condition, so that together you can successfully manage this. She is recognised by patients and colleagues for her clear, straightforward explanations and polite and professional manner.


Training
Miss Choudhury trained in Medicine at Guys and St Thomas’ hospitals, London and qualified as a doctor in 1999. She has always maintained an interest in medical science and completed a BSc degree with the University of London in 1996, before completing her medical finals. She has subsequently been awarded a number of awards and scholarships from The Wellcome Trust, Barts Charity Fund, and The Royal College of Pathologists. During her specialist ENT training years, she also completed an MD (Res) in Molecular Oncology from The Barts Cancer Institute, following two years research in gene therapy in Head and Neck cancer. As a doctor, she has continued to engage in clinical research, and continues to regularly present and publish papers and reviews in peer reviewed journals.
Through training, Miss Choudhury developed an excellent foundation in general surgical principles before being awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons, England in 2002. Her interest in ENT Surgery led onto further specialist ENT training across several prestigious London hospitals, including The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, Charing Cross, The Royal Brompton, St Bartholomews and The Royal London hospitals. These provided her with training in a breadth of skills and with a wealth of experience in specialist ENT from renowned leading experts, culminating in her being appointed as a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons (Otolaryngology) in 2012.
